Stickers!

It is so satisfying to see an illustration or paper cutout transform into a usable product or artwork that you can hold in your hands! This isn't always possible, because I work in small runs and need to sell some pieces before I can make the next product or buy a photo frame. Additionally, not all my work is suitable for my own product, because I really want to sell or license more of my patterns and illustrations, so a lot of my work are collections or illustrations by theme, available for licensing.

Two very interesting possibilities

Printers are always developing new produkts or materials so sometimes it’s such an interesting development and  I can make small runs.

Now it is possible to have stickers printed that are not only very strong but also provide a truly amazing texture and shine. They are a type of relief sticker, and it almost looks like they are printed on your mug or water bottle. This offers enormous possibilities for you to stick my work onto a product of your choice, and for me to apply them to products and sell them. Think of enamel mugs, water bottles, notebooks, maybe even bags. I am currently trying out the sticker (lots of washing up!) and so far it is very promising. I cut out a snowy owl, which is transparent, so the color of the drag shows through. It is flying in front of a bright yellow moon.

 My printer can also print transfer stickers for fabric. I have done some testing now, and so far I am very enthusiastic. I have printed bags and pouches, but what I think turned out really well is an old, heavy blouse dress (a bit plain, but still good) that I upcycled with this transfer bird sticker! The colorful pattern in the owl was made with paper cutouts. After washing (first test), the print is still top-notch. So my plan is, in addition to a few products with this transfer sticker, to sell the sticker via Etsy so that you can also upcycle your clothes and give them a second life. I still have a few more things to test, and then they will be in my shop. I will start selling the bags as soon as possible, as well as the relief stickers. I want to test the textile stickers a bit more.

Cyanotype prints

Now that the sun is shining brightly again, I have started working with my beautiful green cyanotype paper once more. I will also be selling these soon, framed!, in my Etsy shop.

 News! Sales exhibition Amsterdam

In mid-August, there will be a sales exhibition at KunstRAUM, together with fellow paper cutters from the papercut association in The Netherlands. We will present and sell our work. I will show Wall hangings, art prints, cyanotypes, ornaments and probably original papercuts. More on this later.

 News! Website update

My website has been updated. The texts are a bit more to the point, there is new work, and a better layout: illustrations and hand lettering, patterns and products. I would love it if you took a look.
