News from the Atelier – New fabric design: Birds on the wind
new fabric/pattern, papercut based design od seagulls in the blue sky
I am happy to share my latest design with you: a fresh and playful repeat pattern of hand-cut birds and seagulls, specially designed for fabric. With a beautiful, deep blue background and the graphic charm of paper art, this pattern brings a sense of freedom and summer breeze. The motif originated from my love for the sea and my intuitive way of working: cutting shapes from black paper and then digitally creating a pattern with them.
Perfect for textile projects, fashion or interior design – think of cushions, bags or even clothing. I had it printed on cotton myself. I made a simple skirt with striking neon orange stitching - a real eye-catcher. I will probably make a bag with the rest of the fabric.
Take a quick look and let yourself be carried away by the airy lines and bird flights! Good news: the fabric is now available in my Spoonflower shop, in several color variations such as green, ochre yellow and soft pink. Perfect for your own sewing projects!
